Capra was born from a vision to bridge the extraordinary with the everyday. While traveling through northern Pakistan in 2024, our founders discovered something remarkable: a centuries-old herding tradition, where nomadic communities raise Hircus goats known for producing some of the world’s softest and warmest cashmere.
These goats graze high in the rugged Himalayan terrain, where harsh winters naturally cultivate ultra-fine undercoats. This environment, untouched and pristine, gives rise to the rare fibers we proudly use.
We work directly with these communities – ensuring fair trade practices, supporting their livelihoods, and preserving age-old shearing methods that respect the animals. From mountain to loom, every step honors sustainability, authenticity, and unparalleled craftsmanship.
